Today I ripped out the authentication system I had been writing for Theseus and replaced it with a bright and shiny link to the OpenID system. From now all on FE sites I write will use OpenID for its authentication system so we can begin to cut down on User Account hell.
In the near future I’ll write a short tutorial on how I implemented OpenID.

Well I finally put fingers to keyboard and I’ve begun work on Theseus 2.0, previous versions of Theseus were writting on the Microsoft .Net Framework however with version 2 I decided to make a complete switch back to PHP programming after finding the amazing Zend Framework.
2.0 is based on Zend Framework 1.6 so I’m hoping to integrate some of the new framework features in to the codebase, I’m especially looking forward to getting to grips with Dojo as my AJAX skills are sorely lacking.
Below you’ll find a screenshot of an early version of Theseus - as time goes on I’ll be adding more screenshots and hopefully chronicling my work towards the release of the site.
