We fell out, I grew to dislike it after initially loving it.

What can I say, I'm fickle!

I see you are running Wordpress 2.7 as well Dan, very nice.

That's quite the server farm you have going there. I will need to take a look at how many servers we have in back some time soon and list them as well. We will not beat you, and we cannot even touch your 1-1 ration you have going either. However, it is interesting to look at the glob of servers we do have looking.

Stay strong!

I understand.

Right now I'm putting together a plan in my head to request we build a multi-user "blogging" system for the campus to use for both recruitment and other purposes, and part of it would be using virtualization to handle my server needs for the system. Sadly, I think the moment I mention "open source" I'm going to get some skeptical looks ... so I might have to test it at home first.

I don't know, we haven't had much luck with virtualised mission critical servers - mainly because I think our procedures are a little too shoddy.

I may if I have the inclination, I'll probably start migrating a domain controller or two across.

We'll see on other services.

Were any animals harmed in these experiements!? Huh!? What about the animals, and the plants!?!?!?!?!

Good to hear that it is working out well. Keep up the good articles. Are there any plans to move any mission-critical servers (like the ones you listed) to Hyper-V?
